 The above  two  answers  contradict each other to an extent. It's quite easy to reduce weight by regular physical exercises and good diet. Avoid  junk foods from your daily routine .Reduce calorie intake and increase protein consumption in your diet.Include fiber rich foods in your diet.Fiber makes you feel heavy and helps in lowering your calorie consumption.

Replace simple carbs with complex carbs. As complex carbohydrates are digested slowly, they help you to feel fuller for longer. Here is a list of the foods containing complex carbs.
  • Brown rice
  • Multi grains
  • 100% whole wheat bread
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Oats
  • Bananas
  • Whole wheat rotis

 A single spoon of ghee contains almost about 12 gm of saturated fat. Saturated fat is must for our testosterone levels(but not more than 13 gm per day) .These saturated fats above the recommended levels increase  Ldl (low-density lipo protein)  in our body. 

Consumption of  unsaturated fats like Polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats are good for health.Fats like saturated fat  and trans fat must be replaced by healthy fats.

Follow some tips to avoid high fat content:

  1. Consume low fat or skimmed milk instead of whole milk.
  2. Consume chicken breast instead of whole chicken.
  3. Avoid  consumption of beef ( RED MEATS)
  4. Have fat free yogurt ,curd , paneer and all sort of milk products(made with skimmed milk or low fat milk).
  5. Avoid deep fried and high fat foods like french fries ,burgers ,pizzas etc in daily routine.
  6. Use a good quality  oil like olive oil or sunflower oil for cooking.
  7. Avoid sweets and other products which contain ghee and butter in higher amount.
