How different is soya bean protein from meat protein

Most of us know that soya has a good amount of protein. It's absolutely true.
100 gm roasted soya contains 39 gms of protein (approximate), which is a competitor to animal meats available in the market.



But in general, bodybuilders don't recommend soy protein. The reason is quite simple. It has less bioavailability.

If we take more than 25–30 gms of protein from soya per day, it increases oestrogen levels in our body. This is ok for women . This is not good for males as it lowers the sperm count and may have chances for man boobs.
“If you consume soy, consume it in the limit”. Most of our oils and snacks contain soya in a lower amount.
Consume chicken, eggs, and fish for lean protein, if you are a non-vegetarian. If you are a vegetarian and lactose tolerant, consume products made out of skimmed milk or low-fat milk (like paneer, curd etc.).Consume a good amount of lentils, nuts, and beans(black and red beans) etc.
